Week 1
The children have all had a lovely first week back in Bush Babies and have enjoyed seeing all their friends again. We have spent quite a lot of time outside and the children have enjoyed playing on the bikes, making obstacle courses, playing hockey, bouncing the balls and painting on big sheets of paper! Over Easter half term, some helpers very kindly planted some seeds in the Green house and the children in Bush Babies are responsible for watering them to make sure they grow. We went on Thursday and the children filled the watering cans and watered them.
Week 2
What a sunny, warm week we have had! We have been lucky to spend so much time enjoying the lovely weather. Some of the children had fun making a Ladybird house out of twigs, leaves and soil. They searched around outside to see if they could find any. We also have some visitors in the class, 4 little Tadpoles! We will observe them over the next few weeks and see how they change.
Week 3
We have had another lovely week in Bush Babies, we have been enjoying the lovely weather again this week. Some of the children were lucky to make a yummy Banana Loaf which was delicious! They enjoyed eating it at snack time. We also played with the parachute which was lots of fun and the children all had big smiles on their faces. When playing outside, the children made an obstacle course and jumped off the green crates.
Week 4
This week we have been reading 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' book and the children enjoyed acting out the story with props! Also, we have been doing Helicopter stories where the children create their own stories, they came up with some lovely ideas and introduced some interesting characters. The children have also enjoyed playing outside in the mud kitchen, creating obstacle courses and planting plants.
Week 5
Well, that term has whizzed by quickly! We have had another busy week getting ready for the Jubilee celebrations. This week we have been reading 'The Bad Tempered Ladybird' the children loved using the puppets to act out the story!
